Dear Readers:

Being a regular with Quality-Health-Safety-Environment (QHSE) standards and their auditing, I often visit various sites including irca.org which is the International Register for Certificated Auditors, for those who didn't know.

Surprisingly (yes! it was a surpirse) and unfortunately, their website isn't updated regularly, considering thousands of international organizations, consultants and individuals have registered with them and many look up to their database for potential auditors to audit their companies.

I checked through their various certifications, and was surprised to find that they haven't updated ISO 9001 to 2008 version for certiication purposes. They have not even updated OHSAS 18001 to 2007 (still on 1999!!!) I am an IRCA certified QMS 2000 Auditor.

I dont mean to defame them in any way, but this needs to be addressed by them a little more responsibly; true? I have written to them, lets see what's their take on this? If they reason out, I will definitely come back here to clarify.

Any comments are welcome.

Ciao.

Thanks Maverick. First time I come across this site. Apparently it has a wealth of information for me to explore when I'm free from my research, but I booked it amongst my favorites.

Best Regards
